We reflect on the 2023 year with apologies as we have not updated you as we would have liked. Time truly flew by, but I am thrilled to say that we are now back on track!
Firstly, we want to express our gratitude for your understanding and good wishes regarding our decision not to take individual bookings. While we understand some of our regular guests were disappointed, we've been delighted by the reception of our weekends reserved solely for family and friends. Those who’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Howtown Hotel in this exclusive setting have been thoroughly impressed and we really appreciate their valued feedback. Bookings for the upcoming weekends look promising, but if you need clarification or further information, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Our cottages continue to offer a haven of comfort and relaxation to our visitors, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy the charm of Howtown. Colin, our chef in the Howtown Kitchen has been preparing meals for guests to enjoy in the comfort of their cottages, a service that has proven incredibly popular. If you would like a copy of the menu before you arrive then please let us know, otherwise the menu is available in the tearoom and the cottages for your perusal. Each dish serves 4 people and can be ordered at The Hotel or in the Tearoom.
Looking ahead to the 2024 season we are pleased to announce that Howtown Tea Room will be reopening its doors on Wednesday 27th of March. Expect the same warm hospitality and delectable treats including homemade bread, hearty soup, and tantalising freshly made sandwiches; Diane’s famous sausage rolls and an array of scones and homemade cakes that have become firm favourites among our visitors. The Tearoom is open 7 days a week from 10.30am.
We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Spring; signs of new life are already evident with the first daffodils poking through the soil and the magnolia buds are looking exceptionally promising to provide a spectacular display, Let’s hope that Mother Nature is kind and spares us from any late frosts that could jeopardise the beauty of these blooms.
Finally, we look forward to welcoming you back to Howtown for another season of cherished memories and warm hospitality.
