After last year’s glorious summer we have just had one of the wettest on record!! The garden always benefits especially the campanulas, geraniums and Roses they provided exceptional flowers. A theatre of colour, with the bustle of Birds, insects and bees, as they flit from flower to flower.
Of great interest this year was the large net on the Rose bed. Many guests stood and scratched their heads, it was to prevent further damage done by rabbits, unfortunately they had polished off the entire rose collection!!! I will be ready for them next year.
On the Farming front the Hay was cut the latest ever known, prompting the whole farming community bursting into life as soon as 48 hours of dry weather was forecast. The entire crop is safely wrapped and ready for valuable winter fodder.
